I had concerns about the saleability of my late fathers property, given that it was in a generally poor state and had seen very little modernization in the last 70 years. These concerns were increased when several large cracks were discovered in the structure when we cleared it out.

As part of our void sale scheme we wanted to dispose of 3 properties within the Burntwood and Rugeley areas. 2 of the properties had suspect structural issues and the other was in a very dilapidated condition, making them prime for sale by auction.

As part of our Estates Rationalisation programme we identified the need to dispose of 2 properties during 2014 within the Walsall area. Both properties had had various internal structural works to convert from a residential property to office accommodation, making them prime for sale by auction.
All in all the service and support has been made available and as a company they are responsive and easy to deal with and communicate at every stage, including liasing directly with the Trust solicitors to respond to any legal queries.
Due to this being the first of rationalisation sales I attended the auction as an interested party. The auction was very well attended and managed, with standing room only. My mother and I recently sold a house near Eastleigh at auction. We were lucky enough to have Toby Wheatley of Pearsons acting for us.
As we are living in Surrey and my mother is bedbound, it was not possible for us to meet with Mr Wheatley in person, but he organised everything for us and made the process easy.
This would have been enough in itself to merit our thanks, but there was much more.
Some time before the auction was due to take place some distant relatives and a local person raised difficulties which could have seriously impaired the sale. At the same time my mother suffered a stroke which meant that my energies were very much diverted to her and I was in no fit state to deal with any other problems.
Mr Wheatley took the whole burden upon his own shoulders, dealt with the troublesome parties, the solicitors and the supposed problem. While keeping me informed at every stage, he kept all the problems and people away from me so that I could concentrate on my mother.
I shall forever be in his debt for his skill, his professionalism and even more so for his humanity. I am more grateful to him than I can possibly say and am glad to have the opportunity to thank him for being a rock in what was a really hellish situation.
